grandma book
As a child, I used to write my own little books and to illustrate them with colored pencils. I've never lost this passion for writing and illustrating stories, so in my vacations of july 2018 I decided to create my own children's book, from the text to the graphic project.
The book "Grandma" gently tells the story of a girl's childhood with her grandmother, based on my own memories. The illustrations were made by hand, in watercolor.

CREATIVE PROCESS
Having the story ready, I made the illustration sketches and developed the storyboards for the book. After that, I started creating the final watercolors for each illustration. Finally, the images were treated on the computer, receiving adjustments to fit the text on all pages.

CHROMATIC PALETTE
I used the same color palette throughout the book, composed of shades of pink, salmon, light green, beige and brown. This helped to create greater coherence between all the illustrations.
