el cacao: packaging
and visual identity
Personal project created for the fictional chocolate brand El Cacao.
The product was designed as a sugar-free chocolate with the distinction of being produced in a sustainable way, both in an environmental and social sense.
Produced in South America by small farmers, the brand has a fair production chain, which generates income for the local population. So, I created the packaging design for the "Tradition" line, which would be a collection of bars featuring the brand's most traditional flavors. I kept the same illustration to give unity to the line, but using different colors and background textures for each flavor.
The design conveys the feeling of something handmade and of artisanal quality through the use of illustration and textures, in addition to the color palette composed of chocolate tones.
The visual identity is minimalist and sophisticated, referring to the differentiated production of chocolate and the use of few ingredients, which makes it purer.
